Boston Pink Sox pitcher Hunter Dobbins tore his proper anterior cruciate ligament Friday evening and was positioned on the 15-day injured listing Saturday.
The crew didn’t announce a timeline for the rookie right-hander’s restoration or plans for surgical procedure.
In a corresponding transfer, the Pink Sox recalled right-hander Richard Fitts from Triple-A Worcester.
Dobbins, 25, left Boston’s 5-4 win in opposition to the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday within the second inning with what the crew termed proper knee ache.
