Positions now locked for the Indy 500 are thirteenth and again, led by two-time Indy 500 winner Takuma Sato in thirteenth, after establishing a four-lap common of 230.995mph.
ECR driver/proprietor Ed Carpenter, a three-time pole-sitter of the Indy 500, was 14th (230.829mph), forward of four-time Indy 500 winner Helio Castroneves slotting fifteenth (230.811mph) within the #06 Meyer Shank Racing Honda.

Will Energy, the 2018 Indy 500 winner, was twentieth within the #26 Andretti International Honda after a four-lap run at 230.279mph. Nolan Siegel’s #6 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet was twenty first (230.213mph).
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Louis Foster was twenty second (230.212mph), forward of 2014 Indy 500 winner Ryan Hunter-Reay’s #31 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet in twenty third (230.202mph).
One of many greater surprises was two-time “500” winner Josef Newgarden, who struggled mightily in comparison with his teammates and put his #2 Group Penske Chevrolet twenty fourth (230.165mph).
Romain Grosjean’s #18 Dale Coyne Racing Honda put in a run that ended up twenty fifth (229.791mph). Andretti International’s Kyle Kirkwood was twenty sixth (229.607mph), with Katherine Legge’s #11 HMD Motorsports with AJ Foyt Racing Chevrolet twenty seventh (229.456mph).
Row 10 was led by Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Rookie Mick Schumacher, who certified twenty eighth in his #47 Honda after a four-lap run of 229.450mph. Dreyer & Reinbold Racing’s Jack Harvey was unable to transform his fast single-lap from the week’s practices and ended up twenty ninth (229.207mph). Graham Rahal was thirtieth after a 229.017mph four-lap run in his #15 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Honda.
Dale Coyne Racing rookie Dennis Hauger begins his first Indy 500 from the final row after a four-lap 228.982mph within the #19 Honda. Jacob Abel, driving the #51 Abel Motorsports Chevrolet, will begin his first Indy 500 thirty second (228.169mph).
Juncos Hollinger Racing’s Sting Ray Robb endured a tough run, having to again out of the throttle a number of occasions that resulted in him slotting final with a four-lap common of 226.572mph.
