2026 Racing Bulls System 1 driver Arvid Lindblad has shared some perception into the now-viral clip of him approaching Lando Norris 5 years in the past.
Lindblad advised the McLaren driver to recollect him and that he would see him in F1 in 5 years, taking inspiration from Lewis Hamilton’s Ron Dennis story. Following the information that the British driver had signed for Racing Bulls for 2026, footage of the interplay rapidly gained traction on social media.
“I advised my pal: ‘I feel I am going as much as Lando.’ And he was like: ‘Oh no, you do not have the heart,'” Lindblad advised Motorsport.com in an unique interview.
“I did not actually know what I used to be going to say, and the very first thing that got here out was: ‘I would like you to recollect me. I’ll see you in 5 years.’ I might gotten a little bit of inspiration from the Lewis Hamilton–Ron Dennis story, saying, ‘I’ll drive one in all your automobiles in the future.’
“I feel he was bowled over a bit and mentioned one thing like: ‘Oh, that is good to think about it.’ I am certain there are many folks that say these sorts of issues, so it did not actually imply something on the time.

The 18-year-old will be part of Racing Bulls to drive alongside Liam Lawson in 2026, as Isack Hadjar strikes as much as Crimson Bull to take the seat beside four-time champion Max Verstappen.
Lindblad has rapidly risen via the ranks. He moved from karting to System 4 in 2022 earlier than gaining a seat in System 3 in 2024 and System 2 in 2025.
