The Athletics introduced Friday that right-hander Gunnar Hoglund will probably be shelved for the rest of the 2025 season after profitable hip surgical procedure.
The primary-year pitcher had been positioned on the 15-day injured record with hip impingement on June 2, retroactive to June 1. The A’s described the surgical procedure as a “hip labral restore and cartilage debridement” on his proper hip.
Hoglund, 25, made his main league debut for the Athletics this season after being chosen nineteenth total by the Toronto Blue Jays within the 2021 MLB Draft.
