Toronto Maple Leafs middle Auston Matthews was helped off the ice and to the dressing room at 15:47 of the second interval after taking a knee-on-knee hit from the Anaheim Geese’ Radko Gudas Thursday night.
The Maple Leafs later stated Matthews won’t return due to a lower-body harm.
The Geese led 3-2 on the time of the incident. Gudas was given a five-minute main and a sport misconduct.
