The Atlanta Falcons are set to launch broad receiver Darnell Mooney, NFL Community reported Thursday morning.
Signed to a three-year, $39 million contract in March 2024, Mooney was set to rely $18.4 million towards the wage cap. The Falcons would save $7.42 million on the cap with the reported transfer.
Mooney, 28, recorded 64 catches for 992 yards and a career-high 5 touchdowns in his first season with the Falcons in 2024. He had simply 32 receptions for 443 yards and one rating in 15 video games in 2025.
He has 309 catches for 4,028 yards with 17 touchdowns in 91 profession video games (80 begins) with the Chicago Bears (2020-23) and Falcons.
