Nikola Jokic completed second with 29 First Place votes and 71 different Second Place votes. Gilgeous-Alexander completed second in MVP voting behind Jokic final season. Jokic has now completed first or second in 5 consecutive seasons.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jayson Tatum and Donovan Mitchell rounded out the top-5. LeBron James completed sixth forward of Cade Cunningham, Anthony Edwards and Stephen Curry.
Gilgeous-Alexander joins Kevin Durant (2014) and Russell Westbrook (2017) as members of the Oklahoma Metropolis Thunder who’ve gained MVP.
