Watford have unveiled a special-edition package in honour of their most well-known supporter and former chairman, Sir Elton John.
Impressed by the paintings for his 2017 “Diamonds” best hits album, the shirt includes a faint star motif throughout the entrance, silver Watford crest and Kelme logos, and the membership’s retro Joyful Hornet badge on the hem.
The collar and cuffs carry further star particulars, whereas the reverse is embossed with lyrics from certainly one of his most iconic songs, “Your Music”.
The strip – designed in collaboration with Elton himself – can be worn when the Hornets host Blackburn Rovers within the Championship.
It marks the start of celebrations for the fiftieth anniversary of the music legend turning into Watford chairman again in 1976, a job through which he oversaw the membership’s outstanding rise from the Fourth Division to the First.
