TEMPE, Ariz. — Former NFL defensive lineman Josh Mauro, who performed eight seasons for 3 completely different groups, has died. He was 35.
The Arizona Cardinals, Las Vegas Raiders and Mauro’s household confirmed on social media that he died final week. A reason behind demise was not given.
The 6-foot-6 290-pounder performed six seasons with the Cardinals and one every with the New York Giants and then-Oakland Raiders. His most efficient season got here in 2016 with the Cardinals when he performed in 15 video games, beginning 13, and completed with 32 tackles.
Mauro performed in 80 complete NFL video games, beginning 40, and had 5 profession sacks. His remaining season was with the Cardinals in 2021.
“We’re heartbroken to be taught of the passing of Josh Mauro,” the Cardinals stated in an announcement. “Our ideas are together with his household, pals, and all who knew him. We prolong our deepest condolences to everybody grieving this loss.”
Mauro performed in faculty at Stanford.
